+ Are appointments required or can I walk in?

The Centers are available by appointment only. The Centers will try to accommodate same day appointments; however, appointments are encouraged in case there is no availability same-day.

+ What services do the Mutual Health Centers provide?

The Mutual Health Centers are your first stop for a diagnosis, routine primary care, prescription refill, annual physical, immunization, or lab work. The Centers are equipped to handle a variety of personal medical needs. Please visit the Services page for more detailed information.

+ Is there a fee to use the Mutual Health Center?

Yes. $45 for Medical Visits, $25 for PT Visits and $15 for Telehealth Visits until deductible is met, then Member responsibility is based on your health plan.

+ Can I do lab/blood test orders from another provider at the Centers?

Yes. The Centers can perform blood draws ordered by an outside provider. You may schedule a lab only appointment via the patient portal. It is required that you bring your lab orders to the appointment.

+ What forms of payment are accepted at the Mutual Health Centers?

A credit or debit card must be used; cash or checks are no longer accepted.

+ Do I need to bring an insurance card or ID to my appointment?

No. However if you have your insurance card, employee ID or valid identification (such as a driver's license) to verify eligibility please provide at your time of visit.

+ Can I utilize the MHC for labs only, if I get an order from an outside provider?

Yes, the MHC can draw your labs and supply the results directly to your provider. You should bring your lab orders to your appointment.

+ Will my lab-only results show up on My Premise Health?

No, the results of an order from a provider that is not an MHC provider will not be reflected in My Premise Health. If your outside provider has access to EPIC, then the results will be shared electronically with the MHC providers; however, the results will still not show up on the My Premise Health patient portal.

+ Can I get a fingerstick in the MHC with an order from my outside provider?

No. The MHC cannot perform in-clinic point-of-care testing for outside orders. The immediacy of fingerstick results means that the MHC sees test results in real-time, without appropriate history of the testing order. Instead, all outside lab orders must be performed by venipuncture to ensure results are delivered solely to the ordering provider.

+ I had an injury at work, am I able to be seen for medical care at the Mutual Health Center?

If you experience an injury at work, the Mutual Health Center is an option you may choose for medical care. Any further questions about worker’s compensation may be directed to Northwestern Mutual’s Health Services at 414-665-1696. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please call 9-1-1.
